John A. Nagy, age 69 years, formerly of Buffington, Pa., and Lakewood, Ohio passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa.
He was born December 1, 1942 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of John J. Nagy Jr. and Margaret (Nagy) Nagy.
John and his twin brother Joseph, who survives him, were members of the deaf community. They attended the Western School for the Deaf, Pittsburgh.
As a young man, John moved to Cleveland, Ohio to seek better job opportunities.
John retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
In his youth, John attended the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Uniontown.
In addition to his brother, Joseph, he is survived by these first cousins: Ethel and John ‘Calvin’ McDougle, Uniontown Pa., Janet and William Pickett of Bath, Pa., Dorothy Sodl of Whitehall, Pa., and Margaret Frank of Mentor, Ohio.
Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 12 Noon until 1 p.m., the hour of the Service.
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
