On September 10, 2005, The Alumni Association of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf held a golf outing at the Westwood Golf Club in West Mifflin. Twenty-nine golfers turned out to play four-player scrambles.

The winning team included Paul Blahut, Scott Craig, Greg Sebastian and Paul Wojton with the lowest score of -4. At the second place, Gregg Bowers, Barry Fell, Jim Salem and Robert Stewart donated their winning prizes to the Scholarship Fund. Scott Craig won the longest drive on the 8th hole. Winning the longest putt was Stephen Rute on the 18th hole. No one won the hole-in-one on the 190 yards 11th hole and the 5th 128 yards hole for the closet pin. There were two wonderful door prizes awarded to Greg Sebastian, a golf bag and Stephen Rute, a gift certificate donated by Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa. The 50% plus money will go to the Alumni Scholarship Fund. We are looking forward to seeing all the golfers and more staff from WPSD for the 6th annual WPSD Cup in September 2006.
