Obituary – Joan L. Sharpe Ciko
Joan L. Sharpe Ciko, 63, of 233 Boileau Place, Meadville, died at 8:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, in Meadville Medical Center after being stricken at home.
Born Jan. 12, 1942, in Shippenville, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Viola Burchett Sharpe.
She attended the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Pittsburgh.
A homemaker, she was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan as well as a great fan of Elvis Presley.
She attended the First Free Methodist Church in Meadville.
Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy M. Becker and husband, Raymond, of Oil City and Viola Fern Carlson and husband, Rennie, of Knox; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Sharpe and Ethel Sharpe, both of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews, especially Sandy Smith of Rouseville, Deb Armstrong of Titusville and Ronna Beatty of Franklin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles F. Sharpe, John E. Sharpe and Walter K. Sharpe; and two sisters, Anna E. Montgomery and Nora E. Sharpe.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Private services will take place at the convenience of the family.
The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
