Shirley Smith
MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — Shirley Eldon Smith, 71, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, in Wheeling Hospital Medical Park, Wheeling, W.Va.
He was born Nov. 8, 1934 in Harrisburg, Pa., the son of late Kenner C. Smith and Helen Foutty Westfall.
He was a retired lab technician with the West Virginia Division of Highways, a member of Wheeling Association of the Deaf and West Virginia Association of the Deaf Inc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Smith, and a great-niece, Heather Webster Alder.
Survivors include a sister, Evelyn Kay Baxter, of Joelton, Tenn.; three nieces, Jan Lambert, of Georgia, Beverly Webster and Machele Anderson, both of Tennessee; nephew, Rodney Sullivan, of Tennessee; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
