Age 77, of Oakland, at home on Sunday, July 3, 2011. Born in Tartu, Estonia. Beloved wife of Rudolf “Rudy” Hammermeister; dear sister of Juri Niiler of Glastonbury, CT, Andrus Niiler of BelAir, MD, Viiu Niiler of Marshfield, VT, Riste Capps of Sterling, CO and the late Pearn Niiler and Kaia Niiler; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Kersti was a classroom teacher of the deaf at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf for 38 years, retiring in 1995.
