Obituary: Suzanne Beeghly-Rosado, Class of 1979

Rosado suzanneSuzanne L. Rosado, 54, of Aspinwall, passed away with family at her side Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014. She was the beloved daughter of Nancy Stauffer, the late Walter Stauffer and the late Merritt Beeghly; loving mother of Walter L. Rosado and Rusty A. Rosado; sister of Russell A. Beeghly; and granddaughter of the late Alex and Nancy Cruikshank and Merritt and Emily Beeghly. Born and raised in Aspinwall, Suzanne was a 1979 graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. She attended Mt. Aloysius Junior College and graduated in 1983 as a nursing assistant from Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown and worked for several years at the VA Hospital in Aspinwall. She married in 1984 and became the proud parent of her devoted sons, Walter and Rusty. She was fun loving and always maintained a happy outlook on life. She enjoyed playing board games, working puzzles and playing cards. She had a love of all animals, especially her two cats, Elizabeth and Becker. She also enjoyed being a member of the Aspinwall Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary. Along with her mother, brother and sons, she is survived by her aunt, Alana and uncle, Anthony Sacco; aunt, Carolyn and uncle, Michael Quince; and many loving cousins and friends. Her cousin, Diane Sacco, preceded her in death. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Aspinwall Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridges Hospice, 1200 Gulf Lab Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the nurses and volunteers that helped make Suzanne’s last months the happiest they could be.
