Kathleen M. “Kathy” Womer, 42, Jackson Center, passed away peacefully at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at home after an extended illness.
Born July 24, 1972, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Edward N. and Betty L. Gifford Womer.
Ms. Womer attended Hickory High School in Hermitage and graduated from Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Pittsburgh.
Kathy was a lover of all animals, great and small. She loved riding horses and grew up being active in Mercer County 4-H and continued being a supporter over the years. She enjoyed doing crafts and writing letters to family and friends. She was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Betty, at home; a brother, Matt J. Womer and his wife Jamie S.; two nieces, Samantha Womer and Mikayla Womer, and a nephew Wyatt Womer, all of Jackson Center; and her extended loving family, including an uncle, several aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Michael E. Womer; maternal grandparents, George and Marie Gifford; and paternal grandparents, Norman and Cecilia Womer; and two uncles.
