When did you start your schooling at WPSD?
I started around two years old. The teacher came to the house and worked with me. I started preschool at three years old.

What are your fondest memories of WPSD?
Going to WPSD was like my family away from home. I enjoyed sports, class trips and all the activities.

What have you been up to since graduating from WPSD?
I went to Gallaudet University and Penn State University. I got married and started a family. I have four children, all of whom go to WPSD.

What struggles have you encountered, post-WPSD?
I really don’t have any struggles. I have a good life and close family relationship.

What is your proudest accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishment is my family. I am also proud that I teach a sign language class. It makes me feel like I’m helping people.

What advice would you give to current and future WPSD students?
I would tell current and future students pay attention to your teachers, respect them and read as much as you can. Follow your dreams, never give up!

DID YOU KNOW??

In May of 1982, Kim D’Angelo was the crown bearer for the May Queen ceremony (her aunt Jodie was named May Queen that year). 34 years later, Kim’s daughter, Kahlilah, was the crown bearer for the May Queen. WPSD Senior Katie Holtzman won the title this year.
