Dale F. Kirkpatrick, age 84, of Strattanville, passed away on August 15, 2016, at the Clarion Hospital following a brief illness.Born in the family home on C-L School Road on December 1, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Geraldine (Yeaney) Kirkpatrick. He was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Pittsburgh.
Dale worked as a painter and maintenance man at the original Oil City Hospital. He enjoyed repairing watches, hunting, and spending time with his family. He loved watching his family cats play when he visited.
Dale is survived by his sisters, Lois Coffman of Pittsburgh and Mary Jean Aaron of Shippenville; his sister-in-law, Mary Kirkpatrick of Knox; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur, Gerald, and Robert; his sister, Helen Ely, and a nephew, Timothy Aaron.
