Robert L. Cramer

(July 11, 1936 – June 11, 2008)

Robert E. Cramer, 71, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in the Washington County Health Center, Washington, PA.

He was born July 11, 1936 in Punxsutawney, PA, a son of James F. and Grace Marie Chambers Cramer Sr. Mr. Cramer was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. He retired on October 31, 1992 from the Pittsburgh Press after 21 years of service. Mr. Cramer was a member of Central Assembly of God in Houston. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Other enjoyments included traveling and woodworking.

On May 4, 1957, he married Sara Ann Adams who survives. Also surviving are three children, Rick A. Cramer (Laura) of Netick, MA, Steven A. Cramer of Gibston, FL and Margaret M. Haughwout (John F.) of Olive Branch, MS; a brother James F. Cramer Jr. of Dubois, PA; seven grandchildren, Robert E. Cramer II, Jason M. Cramer (Etta), Ashley M. Cramer, Steven R. Cramer, Joshua A. Haughwout, Kaitlin N. Haughwout and Leah B. Haughwout; a great granddaughter Isabella M. Cramer; a daughter-in-law Kye S. Cramer of Canonsburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews. A nephew Michael A. Cramer is deceased.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Saturday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
