Obituary – Albert E. Dietz (Class of 1931)

Albert Dietz, originally from Carrick, died peacefully, on Jan 10, 2009. He was 94 years old, the son of Edward and Amanda Eglisdorf Dietz and brother of William Dietz, all deceased. Dear friend of Charles and Patricia Schenck, David and Jane Cummings, Robert Brown,June Mullen, Margaret Sing, Alicia Williams, Donate Webb, June Rowe, Vendetta Sanders and the staff of the Center for Hearing and Deaf Services. Albert graduated from the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in 1931 and worked as a barber and painter. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades Local 479 prior to his retirement. He was a life member of the Pennsylvania Society for the Advancement of the Deaf and also a member of the Pittsburgh Association of the Deaf. No viewing or service. Interment at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church of the Deaf, 409 Swissvale Ave. Thank you to the staff of Meadowcrest Nursing Center who cared for Albert.
