Obituary: Janet Overbeck-Noker, Class of 1965

Janet Elaine Overbeck-Noker, age 64, of North Fourth Street in DuBois, PA died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Christ the King Manor.

Born on July 13, 1946 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gearld W. and Blanche S. (Williams) Overbeck.

On June 26, 1970, she married Conrad J. Noker, Jr. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2001.

She retired from Owens-Illinois after 23 years as a custodian. She enjoyed crafting. She attended Shepherd’s Grace Chapel in Falls Creek where she enjoyed worshipping through sign language. She was an avid fan of the Wizard of Oz. She enjoyed her friends.

She made her home with her niece, Darlene Lerch of DuBois, PA.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Daniel Overbeck of DuBois, PA, and Gordon Overbeck of Sykesville, PA, one sister, Darlene Wiley of Columbia City, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Eugene Overbeck and James Overbeck, and one sister, Geraldine Joiner.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11 A.M. from the funeral home with Pastor Greg Sands officiating.

Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery.
